He explained the different types of grapes, the process of making port, and all types of trees...olive, cork, eucalyptus, lemon, persimmon,..too many to count. The bikes were perfect and easily handled any steep incline with ease. He introduced us to a mixture of pilsner beer and muscat wine. Unbelievable! But, the highlight was a traditional Portuguese lunch and a family home...tasting 12 different different wines throughout the meal. If you're in the Douro Valley, even for one day, Ricardo won't disappoint!”

“One of our favourite things to do when we travel is to go bike riding in the city we are staying in. We booked our adventure with Porto Bike Rentals to “Cycle around Douro River” and we had the best time!! We were provided e-bikes which made riding Porto hills a breeze!!! The cost of the ride included a morning coffee and one of those tasty little Portuguese pastries (that I cannot recall the name of right now) as well as an amazing charcuterie board and some verde wine at our second rest stop!!
